Young Enterprise

Many schools participate in this scheme, which is a business/education partnership. Its mission is to inspire and educate young people to understand and value the role of business. It helps young people (aged 15ā€“19) who are still at school or college to form and run their own companies. This offers them a way of developing their enterprise skills and smoothing the difficult transition from school to work. Business consultants advise each company. There is a one-term course devised to meet many of the requirements of the National Curriculum for economic and environmental awareness and an examination (http://www.young-enterprise.org.uk“>www.young-enterprise.org.uk; tel 01865 776 845).
