Description:

Founded 1948, having been purchased by the Society of Old Framlinghamians as a memorial to those who gave their lives in two world wars. The main building dates back to the sixteenth century, standing in its own 26-acre grounds on the banks of the river Deben. It has always accepted boys and girls. It offers a balanced curriculum and a good range of activities. Each pupil has a dedicated tutor. The school aims to allow pupils to develop an appetite and zest for life, flourishing into well-rounded, well-mannered and successful young people. Most pupils go on to Framlingham College.

Arts:
Many pupils learn a musical instrument. Musical groups include choirs, orchestra, jazz and funk bands, brass and string ensembles, recorder groups. All pupils involved in school drama productions (Toad recently).
Sport:
Sport and PE are integral part of curriculum. Major sports: hockey, netball, rounders, athletics, tennis for girls; rugby, hockey, cricket, athletics, tennis for boys. Also swimming, basketball, golf, gymnastics, football, cross-country. Sports facilities on site and has access to those at senior school close by: indoor and outdoor swimming pools, floodlit astro-turf, tennis courts, sports halls, playing fields. School recognised by Suffolk Lawn Tennis Association; 4 pupils training with county netball squad; 3 boys play rugby for Northampton Saints U11 Academy. Activities: Range of activities including pottery, pond-dipping, ballet, karate, lantern making, horse riding, as well as activities in music, sport, drama, art, design and technology.
Boarding:
Pupils in single-sex houses. 1-2 exeats a term. Weekly and flexi-boarding offered.
