Weston Green

What it's like

Founded 1952 and, after being closed for a number of years, it re-opened in 1987 as a co-educational day school. It is set in a conservation area, opposite the village duck pond and surrounded by open spaces and common land. The original Victorian house (originally the servants quarters to the adjacent house) accommodates most school activity and there is a large lawn and playgrounds. A new building has recently been added, housing the school's music, sport, dance and drama, as well as classrooms for the youngest pupils. It teaches the National Curriculum to Key Stage 2 and pupils go on to a range of local junior and senior schools.
