Bournemouth Collegiate School
What it's like
Formed in 2009 by the merger of two Dorset schools, Wentworth College (founded in 1871) and Uplands School. The senior school is located on the former site of Wentworth College, occupying beautiful grounds on a cliff top, close to Bournemouth's beaches and not far from the New Forest. The main building was formerly part of Lord Portman's estate. In the last thirty years there have been several additions, including a sixth form complex, design and technology workshop, indoor swimming pool and sports hall.
